Float Your Ideas | For teens & tweens (Ages 11-19) Thursday, April 30th from 3:30-5:00 p.m. Come enjoy some ice cream while getting creative and sharing what events you’d love to see at the library. The best ideas come with a scoop on the side! For ages 11-19.

Teen D&D | Ages 13-17 | REGISTRATION FULL Thursdays, April 2nd, 16th, 23rd, & 30th Meets in the Teen Area. Sign up two weeks before each activity, until filled, by calling 231-924-3480 or seeing the front desk. Limit of 6 teens each week. These meetings will be student-led. You bring your imagination, and we'll provide everything else. The group of players tell a collective story, guiding their heroes through dangerous quests in search for treasure, battle deadly foes, and carry out daring rescues. The adventure itself is only limited by the imagination of the players around the table.

Join our Domino Club where you’ll watch amazing YouTube domino creations, enjoy pizza and snacks, and then try your hand at building your own setups. |

Movie Monday: Hamnet Monday, May 11th at 2:00 p.m. In late 16th-century England, Agnes, a healer sensitive to the world around her, builds a home with William Shakespeare, a local tutor and aspiring playwright. Truth Be Told Book Group Tuesday, May 12th at 4:00 p.m. Join us for Truth Be Told, our new non-fiction book group! Our next book is The Woman They Could Not Silence, and there are copies available at our front desk to check out. Newaygo County Poetry Event Wednesday, May 20th at 6:00 p.m. The public is welcome to attend this Poetry Event at the library to hear the poetry of those in our community! You need not have entered the contest to attend. The top three poets of each age group (notified before the event) will be asked to read their poems, and the winners of each group will be announced at this event. All winners will receive a cash prize: $250 for the winner of the 11-17 age group. $100 for the two runners up of the 11-17 age group. $500 for the winner of the 18 and over age group. $250 for the two runners up of the 18 and over age group.
